Master cutlers forge, polish, and sharpen the 1.2 mm, stainless steel blades by hand, just like in traditional French knife making. They then rivet the handles onto the grip, giving each knife its own unique character.

The Laguiole knife has been in use for over 200 years, inspired by a traditional peasant tool. Now expanded to flatware, each piece carries the mark of a bee for authenticity, originally part of Napoleon Bonaparte's imperial seal.
